Please follow this checklist when preparing your files.
Disks:

• Provide a paper copy of information contained on disk (Print Window of disk)
• Identify programs and versions used on disk label (i.e. Quark 3.32, Photoshop 4.0 etc.)

General Documentation Layout:
Documents must fit within the following specifications: (only bleeds are to extend beyond these areas)

• Full Page is 6.5" x 9.5" or 39 x 57 picas
• Half Page (horizontal) 6.5" x 4.708" or 39 x 28 picas
• Half Page (vertical) 3.208" x 9.5" or 19 picas x 57 picas
• Quarter Page 3.208" or 4.708" or 19 picas x 28 picas
• Provide a printout of the ad
• Include all screen and printer fonts
• Separations On must be checked for all colors when printing 4-color or when using two or more colors. (in Edit Color dialog box)

QuarkXpress:

• When creating colors you must have the preference for CMYK checked.
• After completing ad, do Collect for Output to make sure all the items contained in the ad are sent to us.
• Do Font Usage to determine which fonts you will need to send us. (Be sure to send both screen and printer fonts)

Illustrator:

• Do not place graphics from Photoshop or other programs into Illustrator.
• After completing document go to Custom Color and Select All Unused, click Delete to remove unused colors from the file. This keeps us from outputting extra film
• Go to Document Info., select Fonts to determine which fonts you will need to send us.
• (Be sure to send both screen and printer fonts)
• Save as EPS

Photoshop:

• Size photos as close as possible to the actual size they will appear in the ad. Click on Fixed Target Size in the Cropping Tool Options Palette and select the size needed.
• Color photos should be in CMYK mode.
• Save color photos as EPS, Macintosh 8 bits/pixel, JPEG (Med quality)
• Save Black & White photos as EPS, Macintosh 8 bits/pixel, JPEG (Med quality)

FPO Files (For Position Only):

• FPO files are acceptable, however we do require that you send us a clean " camera ready" original, marked up appropriately with instructions for us to achieve the desired results.

PC Files:

• We handle PC files at our discretion. Contact our Production Department for further information. email

Files and Folders:

• Name your files in a logical and orderly fashion. Try to include the format in which the file was saved in the file name. (i.e. Tiff, EPS, etc.)
• Use your folders, group elements and title the folders appropriately (i.e. Ads, Fonts, Photos, Logos, etc.)

Media:

• 100 MB Zip tapes, 1 and 2 gb. Jaz tapes, 3.5" floppy disks and CDs are acceptable.
