Information at Fastline
Fastline Publications began in 1978 when Bill Howard, president of Fastline, started his first truck publication serving Kentucky. The first issue of the Bluegrass Trucker (originally called the Kentucky Truck Trader) was mailed in July 1978. In just three years the company grew to five publications. The response from the advertisers and readers indicated strong interest and support.
Looking for other industries to serve with a similar style of trade publication, Fastline purchased the Ohio Fastline and the Indiana Fastline in 1985. These two farm trade publications had similar formats to the truck publications and were the first of many farm trade magazines that would start under the name of Fastline Publications.
In 1996 Fastline purchased a commercial printing company, MCW Graphics, providing Fastline the capability to print its own magazines in-house. Today Fastline has grown to twenty-two farm publications and six truck publications.
