Company History
Fastline Publications, founded in 1978 is dedicated to quality advertising both in print and online. Our founder, Bill Howard, started his first truck publication, The Kentucky Truck Trader (later known as the Bluegrass Trucker) serving the trucking industry in Kentucky. The first issue was mailed in July 1978.
Three years later, the company that would become Fastline had grown to five trucking industry publications. Advertiser and reader response indicated strong interest and support in similar advertising publications.
The company looked for other industries to serve with our style of trade publication. In 1986, we purchased the Ohio Fastline and Indiana Fastline, two agricultural trade publications with similar formats to our truck publications. These were the first of many farm trade publications that we would produce under the name Fastline Publications.
In 1996, Fastline acquired MCW Printing, a commercial printing company, giving us the capability to print the magazines ourselves. Fastline continues to grow, publishing and delivering 23 equipment buying guides every 4 weeks to farmers and ranchers nationwide & Mexico. In 2010, Fastline expanded into South America, with a partnership with Trator Brasil. It is the largest agribusiness website in Brazil.
Our website, www.fastline.com is the largest Ag equipment database in the world. The site has over 150,000 items worth over $3 billion. All of your farm equipment needs, including tractors, trucks, and trailers, are at your fingertips 24/7/365. A variety of online advertising is available, including farm websites, banner advertising, and equipment videos.
Our digital features and benefits continue to grow as well. Fastline.com is available on your smartphone and you can text for equipment. In addition, all of our books are available in digital format.
