SUNCO - TURNING DESIGN INTO QUALITY PRODUCTS

Sunco has been designing and manufacturing products for agriculture since 1980. The ownership and management of Sunco all have backgrounds in agriculture, resulting in a special focus for the company, which is to design and manufacture dependable, problem solving products. Every product produced by Sunco solves a specific problem, increases productivity, and is unique in design.

The first original Nutrimate was designed in the early 1980's. Because of fertilizer loss in light soils, there was a need for timely application and the precise placement of starter fertilizer, the Sunco NutriMate was developed. This planter row mounted unit featured a double disc, pivoting fertilizer opener that solved both problems by precisely placing high gallons of fertilizer on a 2 by 2 distance and depth while planting , resulting in increased yields and no fertilizer loss.

  • 1995 brought to market a newly designed NutriMate called Sunco NutriMate II. It incorporates 15 years of fertilizer opener experience with many unique features that allows for timely and accurate nutrient application with the planter. The NutriMate II can be used in any farming practice from conventional to no-till. It goes through the heaviest trash without plugging.

  • At the same time, the problem of plugging with spiked wheels was solved with the introduction of the Sunco Tiger Tooth Trash Discs. This product has 3 unique features, disc concavity, sweptback tooth design, and disc separation to keep them from competing for trash. The Sunco Trash Discs don't plug in today's tough, heavy trash

  • The Sunco Trash Tiger for sugar cane, developed with the expert help of longtime sugar cane grower Bud Lainie, uses the same unique "no plug" technology that works on planters, and puts it in cane fields. Using the Trash Tiger is an environmentally friendly method of cane trash removal, adding organic material to the soil, and is working efficiently and dependably to replace burning in Louisiana and Texas cane fields.

  • The Acura Trak Guidance System featuring implement guidance built in a tractor 3-point hitch was developed in 1987. This solved the problem of cultivator damage to crops with cultivation possible using 16 rows at speeds of 8 MPH . Producers are also still using this sub-inch accuracy today in bedding, strip till, cultivation, and keeping implements accurate behind tractors steered with GPS.

  • Implement guidance wouldn't work if the implement moved and didn't trail properly. To solve this problem and make the implement stable and trail properly, the Sunco Stabilizer was designed and produced. It features unique coil spring down pressure and easy field adjustments with heavy duty construction to handle today's biggest equipment. To keep implements trailing properly behind tractors equipped with GPS steering, the Sunco Stabilizer is a must.

  • In the early 1990's, the Sunco Prop was developed. Fields diked with machines on the market at that time, were extremely rough to drive over with harvesting equipment. The Prop solved this problem with it's angled dikes and is stopping erosion and retaining water in fields all over the country, with a very smooth ride at harvest.

  • Not being owned by a large conglomerate has its advantages. Sunco has the ability to supply the market with dependable products that solve problems, and is a direct result of being a small business operated by caring, dedicated, ag-minded people, with a passion for each and every product we build
