Atlantic Truck Center began in 1979 as Coastal Ford Truck Sales, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale. It was a solely owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, and was assigned the Ft. Lauderdale market as a medium/heavy-duty truck center. In 1990, the name was changed to Atlantic Ford Truck Sales, Inc., and when Ford sold its heavy truck assets to Sterling in 1997, the name “Atlantic Truck Center” was adopted.
In November of 2005, ownership changed hands with the vision to grow and expand in the South Florida market. The buildings in Miami, Pompano Beach and West Palm Beach were acquired. The new Dealer Principal, Philip S. Maas, has over 35 years experience in dealership management and currently enjoys ownership of 10 dealerships across the United States.
Drawing on the success of the first six dealerships, Atlantic Trucks has the advantage of experience over a long history of serving the transportation industry.
