What is this product used for?

This roll is designed for superior forage processing, helping cows digest their feed more efficiently by breaking down forage into smaller, more manageable pieces. The square grooves unwrap cellulose and shred the stalk, creating a far superior processing job compared to standard rolls. These grooves maximize the effectiveness of the kernel processor, ensuring that the feed is cracked properly rather than smashed.

How do you install this product?

Install using factory settings for John Deere® 6000 and Narrow Body 7000 series harvesters. Ensure proper alignment and maintain the recommended edge gap of under 1MM for optimal performance.

When to replace this product:

• If the outside edges cannot be adjusted to under 1MM, the roll should be replaced.
• Over time, the teeth on the roll will begin to flatten, resulting in more smashing than cracking of the kernels. Cracking is essential for proper feed breakdown, while smashing can result in less efficient processing.
• Bearings should be replaced yearly for smooth operation.
