High Performance Universal Shear Bar

The K64735HP high-performance shear bar is made to fit in front of the cutter drum on John Deere® SPFH harvesters. It is made to fit all 7700-7980 series harvesters. This shear bar (also known as a ledger bar, chopper cutter bar, or a forage harvester counter knife/stationary knife) is used to create a cutting edge for the cutter drum knives to come across to cut the material being harvested.

Install to factory settings, no special tools are required. Use the K64735HPBK bolt kit to install this shear bar. This bar features a welded, carbide coating with a ground-sharp shear edge. Additional hard facing is applied to the center of the bar to prevent center wear before flipping the shear bar keeping the second side sharp and well protected. Visually inspect for wear, a ragged cut or poor feeding is a good indication.
